Sump Pump Installation
We specify and install bespoke sump pump systems across West Yorkshire, North Yorkshire and Greater Manchester (other areas by request).
Basement sump pump systems can be fitted as a stand-alone installation to automatically remove nuisance water ingress in your basement or cellar as and when it appears.
With or without optional perimeter channelling, the electrically powered automatic pumps will pump out water that enters the sump chamber to a drain-off location. Additional battery powered back-up pumps are often recommended to protect your property should you experience a main pump failure (due to power outage for example).
They are also an integral and extremely important part of any cavity drain membrane basement waterproofing system. It is important to note that without a correctly functioning sump pump system, any water entering your basement will not be removed and may burst through your waterproofing membrane causing a potentially costly flood.
We specify and install industry-recommended Zoella and KSB AMA Drainer pumps as we find these to be both reliable and robust.
All of our sump pump system installations are specified by an experienced CSSW qualified surveyor following a visit to your property to assess your water ingress issues, budget and requirements. All our bespoke sump pump systems meet British Standard 8102:2022 and come with a manufacturers' 12-month warranty for your peace of mind.
Manufacturers recommend regular (at least annual) servicing of sump pump systems to promote their maximum efficacy and longevity. More frequent servicing may be required in installations that are in heavy use or that are susceptible to mud and silt ingress.
Prices start at £2,200. You may require more than one pump or more complex channelling or discharge piping to meet your requirements — your CSSW surveyor will advise following a property visit.
